Urmey, and to this union six children were born. Two, a son and daughter died in infancy. His wife proceeded him in death two years ago in March. Surviving to mourn his loss are two daughters, Mayme Alexander and Mrs. Celia Hoffman of Covington, two sons, Evan Battson of Piqua and Cecil Battson of Lewisville, 15 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 6 nephews, 2 nieces and other relatives and friends. He was a member of the Baptist Church in Elletsville, Indiana in his early married life. Also a charter member of the Knights of Pythias Lodge of which he was a faithful member. He was a member of the Baptist Church in Ellettsville, Monroe Co., IN.
