Ms. Labenski, 33, who will keep her name, is the assistant photographer at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in Manhattan. She received a master's degree in photography from New York University. Her father retired as the president of the fixed-income division of the American Express Company, and her mother, Maureen E. Labenski, retired as a regional director of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service; both worked in Minneapolis.

Mr. Houghton, 34, is known as Ted. He was until last year the director of program and housing placement at the New York City Department of Homeless Services and is now a consultant on government funding to nonprofit organizations. His previous marriage ended in divorce.

The bridegroom's father retired as the president of the Chevron Corporation's information-technology subsidiary in San Ramon, Calif.
