About Andrew Jackson (Jim) Caffey Jr.:

Jim Caffey a pioneer resident of Roger Mills Co, passed away at his home near Strong City, Sunday April 23, 1950 after an illness that lingered during the past 4 1/2 years. Funeral services for the deceased were conducted from the Strong City church Tuesday afternoon with Rev. E.E. Hastey delivering the sermon. Committal was in the Strong City cemetery, Strong City, Roger Mills Co. under the direction of the Scroggins Funeral Home of Cheyenne.

Mr. Caffey came to Roger Mills Co. in 1892 and had resided in this Co. most of the time since.
Andrew Jackson Caffey was born August 3, 1868 in the state of Louisiana and died at his home near Strong City april 23, 1950. On December 8, 1904 he was married to Myrtle Kepley. To this union three children were born. One son preceded him in death. His wife and two daughters survive. They are Mrs. John Horstkeotter, Hammon, Oklahoma and Mrs. Johnny Leach, Strong City, Oklahoma.
