Research Notes:
There are many Doris K Cartwright on Electoral role in England, Scotland and Wales. Have removed many from list who are no longer on list as at end of 2001. Doubtful if Doris is still alive -- could write to the 100 or so left and see if any luck in having mail passed on.
2003 -- one of the ones I removed in 2001 turned out to be Doris in Craigard! However she died in 1999
Doris married Horace George CARTWRIGHT-[28] [MRIN:27], son of Francis Edgar CARTWRIGHT-[24] and Florence SMITH-[25], on 11 Sep 1928 in Mussoorie, India. (Horace George CARTWRIGHT-[28] was born on 22 Jun 1902 in Birmingham, Warwickshire (UK) and died after 26 Feb 1948.)

The witnesses S Chase and Ethel Chase are most likely to be Sam Chase and his wife Ethel. Here is the content of an email sent by the daughter of Ethel Chase, the daughter now resides in New Zealand:
"My mother and her husband Sam Chase were most likely your witnesses. Both are long gone unfortunately. They lived in the Hills for a long period. Sammy died while still in the Army in 14th November, 1928. My brothers also have all died. My mother married my father, <name available from Don Stanley>, in 1933. She continued to live in Mussorie until we left for NZ in 1947 along with my aunt. (Ethel Chase, nee Ball /(Balls?), 1894-1961)"
