to Boston and for forty years worked in the carpenter shops of the Old Colony and New York, new
Haven & Hartford railroads. During the past seven years he has been in the saw filing and repairing
business in Wakefield, being at Prescott's carpenter shop. He enlisted on Oct 1 1861, 1st maine Regt.
again mustered in as the 10th Maine Regt.. Strict attention to duty won for him the 1st sergeant's
stripes in Co. B. and was mustered out in 1863. he participated in many of the important engagements

president of Greenwood Parent-Teachers Association, past president of Greenwood Improvement
