NOTES for Jonathan, Jr.:
IMPORTANT NOTE: This may or may not be the correct John or Jonathan that married
Tamson Gray. However in my opinion there are a number of items that point to this being correct.
One of the main points in the names Ichabod and Tamson. Even though the wifes name was Tanson,
this John had an aunt and uncle named Tamson Willey and Ichabod Willey. This could account for
the children of the same names. Another common link is the locations of Deerfield, Barrington &
Nottingham, NH. We also find that William Stanhope, Willey researcher, also suggested this to be a
possible link. Also this Jonathan had a brother John who d. 1833 Caladonia Co.VT. With this in mind
we move on as is until something more solid is found to confirm or correct this family suggestion.
