BUFKA, TAUBER posted by John Reindl on Saturday, January 5, 2013: I am looking for information on a family thatlived in New Denmark from perhaps the late 1860's to the 1980's. The parents were Jakob/Jacob BUFKA, born about 1852 in the Czech Republic and Maria Mary TAUBER, born in 1857 In Tausin the Czech Republic. Maria emigrated to the US with her parents in 1870, but we have no information on when Jacob emigrated, nor if came with other family members. It is his background that we are especially interested in.Both Jacob and Maria were alive in the 1930 census, but neither was found in the 1940 census. Jacob and Maria had at least sixchildren: Anna E., born about 1877, never married, died 1950 Mary, born about 1880, marital status unknown Katherine, born about 1884, married Thomas Mathers Frances, born about 1885, married Mr. Watruba John N., born about 1889, died 1980 in Brown County, never married Lizzie, born about 1893, married Mr. Danyi, had two children, Norman and Elane Any information that would help find details on Jacob Bufka's place of birth and emigration would be very much appreciated.
