- The Union Presbyterian
Church has a web which provides a brief history of the church. Union
Presbyterian is the second oldest church in Robinson Township, founded
in 1794.

As of October 2014 this area is being REWORKED. Railroads are tied to the history of Robinson Township as
much as the mining of the coal which the hauled. Through it's history
several railroads have operated within the township.
While the Pennsylvania Railroad didn't
run directly through Robinson Township it played a role in the history of

There are many places on-line where you can
go to find military information. Robinson Township has its own interesting history with the military:
- Interested in the cold-war defense of
the Pittsburgh area? Check out the Pittsburgh Air
Defense Sector site. Included is information and links to the Nike
Site PI-71 located at the old municiple building site at the end of Leona Lane, the old AAA Gun Battalion located
on Planet Way, the USAF and ANG wings stationed at the Pittsburgh
airport, and the Oakdale support center.

There are many family names synonymous with Robinson Townhip going back more than 200 years. Several roads around the township
are named after some of the early residents. We will be building this area over the coming months.
