Nina Giordana Brawn

is seeking information on the following surnames & individuals:  BRIGGS (Massachusetts & England); MATHER (Massachusetts, Connecticut & England); GIORDANA (Connecticut & Italy); FIGLIUOLO (Connecticut & Italy); John GALLAGHER (Connecticut & New York, 1860's, died before 1889) and wife Bridgett Maria McCAFFREY; surnames McCAFFREY and McMANUS; and Peter BRAWN (1770-1850's in Madison & Guilford, Maine)


David Dean

is looking for ancestors of Lucretia BRIDGES, b. 1840, Saco, Maine.  She is his great-grandmother (she m. Charles H. DEAN) and he believes a descendant of Edmund BRIDGES, who came to these shores in 1635.

David is trying to find out about he death of great-grandfather, Charles Henry LIBBY.  He is said to have perished in the burning of the steamship Atlantic in 1864, but he has been unable to find a record of a shipwreck involving a ship of that name.

Josiah CLARK of Dover, New Hampshire, and Harpswell:  who were his ancestors?  Josiah married Sarah NUTE of Dover.

Nathan FLOYD of Saco, who died 21 Feb 1821.  Is he the same Nathan FLOYD who descended from the FLOYDs of Rumney Marsh (now Chelsea / Revere, Massachusetts)?  If so, how did he come to be in Saco after so many generations in Rumney Marsh?


Nancy Battick

is seeking ancestors of John BATCHELDER (spelling of surname varies), b. 1786, s.p. Kingfield, Maine, d. 1888, Michigan.  Married Sophia WING.  Son, Royal BATCHELDER, "Rial" married Sarah PORTER of Hampden, Maine, in 1837; moved to Troy, Maine, and d. there in 1901.  Only clue to John BATCHELDER's birthplace is a Michigan newspaper article which says he was born in Penobscot County, Maine, and that his father was a Revolutionary War soldier.

Also seeking info on the parentage of Sophia WING.  Was she the daughter of Paul WING and Florence TRASK?

Seeking information on ancestors of Lucy KENNESON (or KENNISTON) born ca. 1783, died bet. 1850-60.  Married Nathan BRAGG of China, Maine, in 1807.  He was the son of Nathaniel BRAGG and Hannah (MOORE) BRAGG.
