KNOWLEN
I have been researching my KNOWLEN name and am stuck.  I have found my ggg-grandfather Thomas KNOWLEN (NOLAN); his wife was Martha BOOBER.  They had 12 children and I am descended from their firstborn John.  Thomas and Martha lived in Passadumkeag in 1825 when Thomas went north to hunt furs.  He was killed and his body found in the spring and was buried in an unmarked grave.  We have traced 3 of the 12 children and have leads on at least 2 more.  Martha remarried after Thomas died to a man named MORRISON.  My brother talked to someone who says he had recently seen KNOWLENs in Dover-Foxcroft.  Does anyone know of any and if so, would they help put me in touch.

DOORE / TEWSKBURY
Looking for some history of Dudley DOORE of Atkinson, Maine.  Civil War Vet (14th Maine Infantry).  He m. Judith TEWKSBURY on 24 Dec 1869.  Of the 5 (that I know of) Piscataquis DOOREs who went to war:  James and Osley died of disease on the Gulf Coast, Henry died in battle, Clarence was badly wounded, and Dudley I have no history on.  All were grandsons of Joel DOORE and Hannah HUSSEY of Atkinson.

CROSIER
Seeking data re: Maria MOSES and William CROSIER who married 14 Aug 1856.  1860 census shows them in Milo with children.  A Sebec record shows different spelling for Maria's last name.  Is this the same William CROSIER who later married to Mary E. WILLARD and had a family in Brownville where they can be found in later census reports?  Mary WILLARD CROSIER's obit says Wyvil was a stepson which leads me to believe William's 1st marriage could have been to this Maria.  I've contacted CROZIER's desc. but perhaps a WILLARD or MOSES researcher has the date of Mary's marriage or some info re: Maria.  Looking for primary documentation.  Any leads appreciated.
