Jackson Sloan died at his home, south of town on the 29th ult, and was buried at Oblong on the 30th by Albert Wood Post. Jackson Sloan was a mebmer of Co. D. 98th IL from its organizaiton to its muster out, June 27, 1865, and was always at his post on duty.
