Wanda M. "Granny" Parker, 87, of Oblong, IL, formerly of Robinson, IL, died at 8:05 a.m. Thursday, February 3, 2005 at Cotillion Ridge Nursing Center, Robinson.

She retired from Crawford Memorial Hospital in 1982 after 21 years of service and was a member of the Congregational Christian Church in Robinson.

She was born July 26, 1917 in Robinson, IL, the daughter of James and Cora Simons Terry. She married Robert Okey Parker and he preceded her in death in July of 1945. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons-in-law, Lewis E. Henry and Harold E. Sparks; 2 sisters, Alma McCrory and Laura Terry; and 2 brothers, Ernest Terry and LeRoy Terry.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Linda Sparks, Robinson and Donna Sue Henry, Oblong; 3 grandchildren, Robb Sparks, Robinson, Rod and Suzy Sparks, Oblong, and Lewis Lee Henry, Aurora, IL; her great granddaughter, Baylee Sparks, Oblong; her brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Donna Terry, Robinson; 2 nephews, Greg and Tammy Terry, Terre Haute, IN and R. Alan Parker, FL; her niece, Sherri Harrison, Robinson; and 3 great nieces, Erin, Tracy, and Marcy.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, February 5, 2005 at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson with Pastor Jack Cunningham officiating. Visitation will be form 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday preceding the services. Burial will be in the Robinson New Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Oblong Academic Foundation with envelopes available at the funeral home.
