Howard O. Mouser 88, Oblong, Illinois died Wednesday November 19, 2003 at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Vincennes, Indiana. Howard was born on December 22, 1914 in Oblong, Illinois and was the son of Oren O. and Celia (Davis) Mouser. On September 18, 1937, he married Ida (Harris) and she survives. Howard worked for Marathon Oil Company as a Foreman of Production, he retired January 1, l977 after 35 years. He was a member of Seed Chapel Church, 57 plus years as a member of the Oblong Masonic Lodge #644 AF & AM and was a life member of the Gem City Club. Howard's hobbies included hunting, fishing, quail hunting, gardening and flowers.
Howard is survived by his wife Ida, one son and daughter-in-law: Jerry & Bev Mouser; five grandchildren: Jeff & Cindi Mouser, Christi & Randy Amalfi, Bradley & Janie Donnelly, Brent Donnelly and Shawn & Debbie Donnelly; ten great grandchildren; one niece Kathy Mouser and one nephew Ralph Mouser Jr.
Howard's parents, one daughter Donna Donnelly and two brothers Lloyd and Ralph Mouser Sr. precede him in death.
Burial is in Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, IL.
