Charles Doss, 67, of Robinson, IL, died at 6:47 a.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital, Lawrenceville, IL. He was born June 30, 1939 in Bridgeport, IL, the son of John P. Doss and Elsie (Brinkman) Doss.
He worked in maintenance at Leaf and Hershey. He was a member of the Robinson Wesleyan Church and a lay minister at Pilgrim Holiness Church and Robinson Wesleyan Church.
He married Elizabeth Bathe August 26, 1967 and she preceded him in death September 20, 2001. He was also preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his mother, Elsie M. Doss, Bridgeport; 2 brothers and sister-in-law, Paul W. Doss, Bridgeport, and Jerry and Cheryl Doss, Tipton, MO; his sister and brother-in-law, Carlion and James Snyder, St. Francisville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2007 at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson with Pastor Dan Szombathy officiating. Burial will be in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery, Lawrenceville, IL. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 7th at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Robinson Wesleyan Church, 806 S. Myers St., Robinson, IL 62454, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
