Searching for England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, or Wales Ancestors? For researchers with ancestors in England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland,
in January 2010, the Society expanded its Scottish/Northern Irish Special Interest
Group to include anyone looking for ancestors in the entire United Kingdom.
It is already known by the nickname, UKSIG. Anyone interested in this area of research
is more than welcome. Searching for your Germanic Ancestors? The Society has established a Special Interest Group (SIG) to enable researchers to share information about searching for Ancestors from the Germanic areas of Europe. See the GSS Calendar of Events page on this website for dates and locations of these meetings, and plan to attend. How computers can help genealogical researchersThe Society has established a Computer Group SIG. This group meets monthly at the Fruitville Public Library. The objective of the SIG is to help each other learn more about how computers can help us with our genealogical research and organization of data. Computer skills of the attendees vary from beginner to very experienced. The session includes one or more presentations and/or discussions related to computer genealogy. Also, a question and answer period is always included. Check the GSS Calendar of Events page on this web site for the date of the next meeting and plan to attend. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ For more details about these and other GSS activities, take a look at our GSS Calendar of Events webpage. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |
