U.S.Flag   Gladys Evelyn Davis wrote: "I feel I can do more good as a nurse than in any other service."

She became a graduate nurse and was preparing to go to the Philippines. While on leave for a visit to her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T.J. Davis, on Aug. 6, 1941, she was killed in a car accident.
