CEMETERY DATA OF NUECES COUNTY, TEXAS
Dr. Charles A. Ward and Brooks Noel compiled
CEMETERY DATA OF NUECES COUNTY in 1990.
It contains information on over 25,000 people
from twenty-five of the twenty-six known Nueces County cemetery locations that
have tombstones. A comprehensive search was also made in both the Nueces County
Courthouse and the Corpus Christi Public Library for cemetery maps and cemetery
deed records. An extensive reference list is included after the cemetery
listings. This book includes the early formative history of the
cemeteries, as well as inscriptions by plot. (Note: Seaside and Rose Hill
Cemeteries were not included in this work, as there were plans at the time for
the cemeteries to compile their own volume.)
CEMETERY
AND CREMATION DATA OF THE COASTAL BEND OF SOUTH TEXAS was published in
the summer of 2000.
The second
volume picks up where the first leaves off, starting with listings from 1988,
and going through December 31, 1999. In addition to Nueces County,
it includes listings for Aransas, Bee, Brooks, part of Goliad, Jim Wells,
Kleberg, and San Patricio counties. It also includes all local veterans
buried in National Cemeteries during this time period. The book is 735
pages, looseleaf, in a hardback plastic "D" ring binder.
