ONE OF THE FIRST BUSES IN TODMORDEN CRASHES INTO ROOMFIELD CHAPEL WALL 1907

The photo was taken on 18th March 1907 just 11 weeks after the start of the bus service in Todmorden. The bus was Todmorden Corporation Fleet No. 2, Registration No. C1507, and the bus driver, who was trapped but not seriously hurt, was William Nothard. The accident was caused by a failed steering mechanism.
