Dr. William Henry Jolley
William Henry Jolley was born in Georgia in 1851 and lived in the Riddleton area in the late
1800's. He was a farmer, country doctor and a mason. Early in the 20th century, he moved to
Chichasha Oklahoma and died there in 1933. The child in the picture is Barry, his son by his
second wife Emma Kindred. His previous marriage was to Lucy Vanhooser who died in 1890.

Dr. Jolley is my great grandfather, my grandmother was his oldest child, Callie Jolley Merryman.

Among the children on the front are; Burt, Frank and Royce Aydelotte, Jack
Petty, Twins Ilene and Irene Horton and Lucy Jolly (daughter of Zach and Ida.)

The W. H. Jollys came to Riddleton in 1885 and lived there until about 1904
when they moved west via wagon train to Texas and Oklahoma. Johnie and Callie
Merryman lived in Ada OK for one year before returning to Smith County.
This picture was made at a family reunion in Lewisville TX about 1916.
