ANDERSON CEMETERY (ARCH)

Located on the east side of Swan Creek, just above Raleigh's Chapel Methodist Church, on the farm once owned by Hill McCaleb, then by Tom E. Harvill, now owned by Floyd McCaleb's widow, Nonnie McCaleb.  This cemetery was used by the families of the employees of the Robertson's mines.  The Anderson family was buried in a long stone vault about 20 feet by 7 feet.  The stones have fallen and only part of them remain.  Ninety-three graves had only fieldstone markers.  Bible records show the following people were buried there.  Read March 31, 1974 by Floyd McCaleb.  Flora Harvill, O. J. and Catherine Lynn.  Reread by Flora Harvill on January 15, 1987.

Harvill, Virginia (Davidson) - December 10, 1855 - February 14, 1896 wife of Hugh Cord                                                                                                                                        Harvill, who is buried at Sheboss in Maury Co.
Harvill, second wife of H. C. and sister of Virginia.  Mary Jane Davidson, - March 3,1861 
- November, 1965.  married on December 13, 1896 - buried at Sheboss.  Hugh Cord   
December 17, 1854 - November 17, 1924.

Jones, Commodore - d. June 15, 1938 at age 76 (b. 1866) The funeral was at Raleigh's Chapel Church, Swan Creek was over the road, so Mr. Tom E. Harvill transported the body by wagon drawn by mules to the cemetery.  Mr. Jones was a grandfather of Herman Wm. Johnson
