Mr. Burch graduated from Union University in 1938. He was retired from school teaching and the livestock feed sales industry. He became a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church in 1934, was ordained a deacon in 1941 and served as a deacon of the church until his death.

Mr. Burch was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Riley.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-seven years, Evelyn Burch; three daughters, Josephine and husband John Taylor, Peggy and husband James Rogers and Paula and husband Buddy Jernigan; two sons, Henry and wife Regina Burch and John and wife Harriet Burch; fifteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held February 4, 2006 at Shelton Funeral Home in Trenton.

Reverend Chris Rigby will hold funeral services at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 5, 2006 at Shelton Funeral Home with burial to follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
