The brick built, thatched roofed, Black Horse Inn stood on Thurmaston Main Street, opposite the parish church. In the background can be seen the high roofed outline of the Wesleyan Methodist chapel. What were the houses like that stood in-between the inn and the chapel?

The Harrow Inn Darts Team.

The Old Harrow Inn, like many other public houses in Thurmaston, has fostered team activities. This picture shows members of the Harrow's darts team, seated around the landlady Nellie Bailey. Mr. Jim Hewing of Thurmaston

Mr. Jim Hewing (1915-1988) of Thurmaston is the man on the far left of the picture (Number 1). Can you help the Thurmaston Heritage Group with the identity of the other men in the picture?
