MOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS

Please make your own reservations., but you should be aware that Saturday, September 16, 2017, is a home football game at the University of Georgia in Athens. This will impact the availability of motel rooms within a 50-mile radius of Athens. So be sure to make your reservations IMMEDIATELY!

There are a number of motels in the Athens, Georgia, area, which would be the closest to CCBC. You may want to try your luck there. If so, you should try to make reservations immediately. If you wait until September to make reservations, you will be out of luck because all the motels will be full, and the traffic will be bewildering unless traveling through while the game is on.  Game time has not yet been announced, but it will be added later to the schedule on: http://uga.rivals.com/schedule.asp and other similar sites.

Other recommendations include the following:

1. Country Hearth Inn, Monroe, GA. 1222 West Spring Street, which is in Walton County. The local number is 770-207-1977. The toll-free, straight-line number to this motel is 1-877-755-0588. Website: www.countryhearth.com

2. Jameson Inn, Covington, GA. Just south of I-20-Exit 93 at Highway 142. This location is in Newton County. The local phone number is 770-784-1849. The reservations number is 1-800-JAMESON.

3. Ramada Limited, Loganville, GA. US Highway 78, just west of town. and also in Walton County. The local phone number is 770-554-9955. The reservations number is 1-800-2RAMADA.

4. There are several motels in the Commerce, Georgia, area ( about 25-30 miles from CCBC) including Holiday Inn Express, Days Inn, Hampton Inn and Ramada Express.

Though there are a number of motels in Conyers (Rockdale County) clustered around I-20, they are being mentioned only as a last resort. Much of the time they are filled to capacity plus the traffic in the area is congested.
