144x145 Johann Georg and Maria Christinia (Wackenhut) Dahlinger,                 m. 18 Jan 1735

This page was created 4 November 2002 and revised 27 June 2003 -- rak.

From the 1767 Galka First Settlers' List we know that this couple had at least three sons: Michael 12, Georg 9 and Gottfried 6.5, and, in all probability, another, Christian [my ancestor] 23, who was already married and living next door to his widowed probable mother in 1767.  They all were Lutheran farmers from "Baden-Durlach, Langenalb".

The Karlsruhe Landeskirche Archiv tells me Maria was born 25 April 1714.

According to the Karlsruhe Landeskirche Archiv, Georg (aka Hans Georg) Dahlinger, as a widower married second Maria Catharina, aged 28 years, 10 months, and 10 days, daughter of Michael Wackenhut, on 18 January 1735 in Langenalb [near Karlsruhe].  As the father of the bride, Michael was classified as a "Burger", the same as the groom.
