Welcome to Lancaster county. My name is Katy Hestand and I am the creator and coordinator of this site. It is brand new and still under construction (it will always be under construction.) I will endeavor to provide a complete site about the history and people of Lancaster county. My roots go deep in Pennsylvania, my family came to the area in the very early 1700's and from there have migrated all over the country.

I am seeking volunteer's to do look-ups in reference books and at area locations such as the court house or library. If you possess a book or manuscript dealing with the people or places in Lancaster county or access to locations within the county please contact me.
