This picture is of the wedding of Isabella Theresia Daub and Francis Peter Hoffman which took place on May 18, 1897, at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church. The wedding was officiated by Rev. F.J. Bender. The witnesses are Peter Ibach and Julia Fromknecht. Unfortunately, the name of the flower girl is not known. Mary has advised that Isabella & Francis Hoffman were her maternal grandparents. Mary has also advised that the Daub family and the Hoffman family were a big part of Erie history with many children. Both were from the Marvintown area in Erie. Marian Matha-Fromknecht has provided additional information about Julia Fromknecht who was a cousin to her husband. Julia was born 27 March 1876 in Erie. She was the daughter of Michael and Mary (Abel) Fromknecht, pioneer Erie residents who lived in Marvintown. Michael was a brother to Marian's husband's great grandfather, Joseph Fromknecht. Julia Fromknecht married Amandus Heibel on 25 Oct 1905 at St. John's Church, Erie.
