Griffey Cemetery

Griffey Cemetery is a small inactive family plot located on a small hill near the intersection of Cherry Hill and Griffey Rds.  The oldest known burial is that of Chester Griffey in 1818.  The latest burial occured in 1896 with the burial of Susannah Ackerly in 1897.

 

To reach this cemetery:
From Albion: Take Rte. 6N north to the intersection of 6N and Cherry Hill Rds., turn left (west). Follow road for about one and a half miles, watch for cemetery in bend in the road. Cemetery is located in a small grove of trees away from the road.

From Rte. 20: Take Rte. 6N south to Griffey Rd. (second road to the right after the Bessemer underpass).  Follow Griffey Rd. to intersection of Cherry Hill Rd. Turn right (east), cemetery is less than 500 feet away on the north (right) side of road in a small grove of trees.
