TAYLOR, Edward L.,
was b. Yorkshire, Eng., and was a year old when he crossed the
ocean. He was raised in Nassagweya Tp., and came to Puslinch in 1885,
purchasing the McGibbon shop at Aberfoyle, which he has since operated, except
for a period of four years, when he bought the J. C. Smith farm, returning to
the shop on 1902. In 1903 he sold the shop and house to James Gilmour. He owns
a house and lot it Aberfoyle, also a farm of 100 acres, lot 14, rear con. 7,
which he rents. He is a Methodist and a Conservative. Mr. Taylor was Trustee of
the Aberfoyle school for three years, and Sept., 1905, he was appointed
collector of the Township in place of John Smith, deceased. He m. Annie C.
Davidson. Issue: William, Calgary; Annetta , at home; Edward J., in
Hammersley's mill at Aberfoyle; Charles H., Gueph; Nelles H., Norma, d. in
infancy; Gladys G., Norma H. and Marjory I, at Park Hill.
