ROSS, William
, was b. in Dundee, Scot., 1831. He came to Canada in 1847, and set. in Fergus,
where he has since lived, and followed the occupation of bookkeeping. In
religious views he is a Presbyterian, and in politics a Reformer. He has been
active in church affairs, and since 1863 has continuously held the offices of
Town Clerk and Treasurer. He m. Mary Paulin, also of Scotland. They have four
children, of whom James and William are farmers in Nichol Tp. Mr. Ross has seen
many changes in Fergus since he came there as a pioneer.
