McMILLAN, Angus
was b. Kintyre, Scot., d. 1863, at the age of 87. He came to Canada in
1847, settling on lot 13 of the Gore. He was a Presbyterian, and a Liberal. He
m. Christina Downie at Kintyre, Scot. Issue: Mrs. Robt. Cochran, near Niagara;
James (d.); Mrs. Alexander Dow, Minto; Lauchland, Donald (d.), and Mrs. Malcolm
Gilcrest (d.).
Lauchlan, b. in Scot. came with his parents to Puslinch, in 1847, and d. in 1893, at the age of 77. He succeeded the homestead at his fathers death, to which he added the adjoining lot No 12. He never held municipal office. He m. Christina Blair. His surviving issue are: Archibald, Puslinch; Mrs. Neil McPhatter, Puslinch; Mrs. Duncan McLean, Puslinch; Donald, and James. Archibald, succeeded to the homestead, which he operates, carrying on mixed farming. He has been a Trustee of No. 7, for about 9 years. He is a Presbyterian, and an Ind. Liberal. He m. Christina Paddock. Issue: Mary, Grace, Christina, Angus, and Charlotte. Donald, was b. on the homestead. In 1891, he purchased lot 30, front, con. 7, where he is engaged in mixed farming. He m.
