FARLEY, Peter , of Arthur, was b. in Caledon Tp., Simcoe Co., in 1833, and set. in Peel about 1846, on lot 5 , con. 16. He is a Roman Catholic in religion, and a Liberal in politics. He m. Catharine Hollis, b. in Canada, who d. Jan. 1, 1906, age 65. They had a family of eleven, ten of whom are living: Mrs. Alexander Boyce, set. Vancouver; Peter J., Thomas M., Mrs. Fred Mannell, Mrs. Geo. Kiely, Mrs. Henry Bailey, and Fannie, Toronto; Mrs. James Gainer, Peel; Mrs. Bert Chown, Niagara Falls, and William J.

Peter J. m. Bridget A. White, and set. in W. Garafraxa. Issue: James and Joseph.

Thomas m. Sarah Fitzpatrick, set. Arthur. Issue: Mary L., Kathleen.

William J., was b. in Peel Tp., and owns the old homestead of 100 acres, lot-i 5, con. 16, which he purchased from his father. He has a herd of registered Durham cattle and Clydesdale horses for sale. He is Roman Catholic and a Liberal in politics. He is Sec'y-Treas. and Trustee of Separate School, No. 12, and Auditor of Peel Tp. He is regarded as a man of business ability, and highly respected in the community. He m. Bridget A., dau. of James Byrne, of Toronto Gore, whose father served in the Rebellion of 1837-8. Issue: Peter J., William J. L., John T., Francis A., Catharine L. (d.), and Mary M.
