COLE, James A. , b. Arthur, 1873, and is the youngest son of the late Richard Cole. He lived at home until grown up, and started farming for himself in 1888. Mr. Cole has made all of his property by his own efforts. He carries on mixed farming, and makes a specialty of thoroughbred Hereford cattle. Mr. Cole was elected to the Council in 1906, and headed the poll. He is a Presbyterian, and a Conservative. In 1891 he m. Annie, second dau. of the late Thomas Mitchell, of Maryborough Tp. They have five children: Richard Lloyd, Thomas A., Mary, Gordon and Hilda.
