OKLAHOMA’S ROOTS ARE DEEP

“The Sandage Family”

From Oklahoma Genealogical Society Quarterly Vol. 21, No. 1, March 1976

This material was submitted for publication by Mrs. Harriett Browning, Choctaw, Oklahoma.

“A visit was made to Perry County in 1966 to copy dates in Harding Cemetery and Lower Cummings Cemetery.  A newspaper editor in Connelton, who is a distant cousin and has done family research, was consulted.  Most of my records from Indiana were obtained from courthouse records by a gentleman who was retired and was researching family records for people.  This same gentleman knows a lady in Tell City,  Indiana, who owns the Bible of Thomas Sandage, Sr.  He copied the birth dates of all 18 children from the Bible and some other pertinent data about the family.”
