Email: [email protected]
Date posted: Monday, June 8, 1998

Looking for possible divorce record for Susan REED, possibly married to a LOUDENSLAGER, Washington Twp., Sandusky Co, between 1861 and 1865. I believe she is my gggrandmother and appears on 1870 and later census records as a dau in Peter REED household. Martin Luther LOUDENSLAGER, who is my great grandfather, appears under her name as a grandson in the same household, but there is no mention of a father. Martin retained the LOUDENSLAGER name, so I'm investigating the possibility of a divorce.

Hi, I am researching my family and have come to dead end. Any help or pointers would be appreciated.

My mom: Eileen Love, b. 2/23/1920 in Milwaukee. Her parents were there briefly. Lived in Fremont and Cleveland.

Her Mom: Naomi Laura Barrick Love born in Lima, Ohio. Married Oscar Love 12/23/1897 in Allen County, OH. I can trace the Barrick's back forever.

Her Dad: Oscar Love, born in Lima, OH 3/19/1875 (Allen County), died of tb 3/19/1926 in Fremont, OH. He live in OH, IL, and WI that I know of. Worked on the railroad? Know that he drove a taxi in Fremont in the early 20's. Ran a bar name Love's in Fremont.

Oscar had 2 sisters. One named Rosie and the other named Francis. I think one ran a "house" so to speak.

His Dad: Henry Love came to OH from NY. He was born about 1839 in Indiana. I know that he had a brother. Might have worked on the canal. Met a Jennie Noon(Noonan) from Ireland, married her. He died about 1883.

Jennie Noon(Noonan) b. 10/26/1830 in Ireland and died 2/9/1911 in Lima, Oh. I have her obit. Says the Love's were a old family.

I am looking for any info on OSCAR, HENRY or JENNIE. Marriage info., death info., anything at all. I know that Oscar and Laura were arrested in the 20's for bootlegging and spent a night in the Sandusky County Jail.

Thanks
Kat Derrick
