Mayor McCrory held police court Friday night to hear the case against Johanna Keigar, alias Josie Dorance, and Eli Crouse, who were charged with fornication. S.M. Douglass appeared for the city and Hon. W.S. Kerr for the defendants. The following witnesses were examined: Marshal Lemon, Officer Billow, Officer Englehart, ex-Officer Mike Weil and Jacob Crim. The testimony showed that there is but one bed in the house occupied by the defendants, there being but three rooms. Testimony was also given as to the woman's shaky reputation.

Mayor McCrory bound both of the accused over to probate court on the charge of fornication in the sum of $250 each. The prisoners signed the bond, which was also signed by Theodore Crouse, a brother of the defendant.
