1. Monroeville-native Clifford R. Seaman (1892-1962)
on his Pacific
Express Company wagon at the Norwalk Depot in 1907. This was his first
job
and he had to add a few years to his age to get it. (He'd already joined
the
National Guard a year earlier at age 14!) The horse was a roan named
Big
Red. (Men may forget the name of their wife and children, but they
NEVER
forgot the name of their horse.)
2. Clifford R. Seaman and his friend Lester
D. Stout on Stout's Wells
Fargo Express Company wagon at Norwalk in 1907. Both men later went
to work
for the railroad.
