LOCATION:
Bald Rock is located along Route #349.
WHAT'S IN A NAME?
Bald Rock is aptly named - it is dominated by a stretch of
barren rocky coastline.
SETTLEMENT HISTORY:
The first land grants here were issued in 1772 to John
Burbridge and William Best, and among the residents by the
early mid-1800s were the families of James and Charles Gray,
William and John Smith and Richard Finely.
BALD ROCK TODAY:
Bald Rock no longer exists as a distinct community but has
blended into nearby villages.
