Carla Barrett received this information from Colin Barrett (her uncle), his wife is a Great-grand child of Simon Theriault.  Colin related to her the following:  Simon moved to Back Bay from East Ferry, Digby Co., NS and married Sarah Jane Palmer (daughter of James & Hipsabeth).  They lived on the property where the cemetery is now located (Theriault's Field).  Simon had 10 children, the youngest was Lemuel, who married Ida Mae Hooper (grandparents of her aunt,  Joyce Nickerson)

The new owner of the property, Phil Martin (Ontario), has tried to locate more buried headstones, but to date has been unsuccessful (Apparently one of the previous owners didn't like to look out her window and see the headstones, so she had them buried!.)

Eliza Margaret Hooper French Holmes. She was born Jan.23,1846,according to the 1901 N.B. census. She died at 88 years of age.She was the local midwife, known to many as 'Aunt Margaret'. She was married to (1) John French and after he passed away, (2) Irvan/Irvin Holmes. She was mother to (1)Sydney French, (2)Thomas French, (3)Bowman French, (4)Clinton French, (5)Albion French, (6)Pearl French Frye - Grandmother to Rowena Frye Rae,Great grandmother to Jill Rae,  (7)Alfonce/Alfonzo French, and (8)Sherman/Shearman/Sherburne ( they called him Uncle Sherby). The information that her grandmother was buried here was related to me by my mother, Rowena. She was but a youngster, and remembers that the death occurred during the winter, but not the exact date.It was cold and there was the worry that the ground would be frozen, making it difficult to dig a grave. Margaret's husband John ,who was the son of Benjamin and Jane French,is also buried in Theriault's Field, but I have no information regarding his death. He is listed in the 1891 N.B. census. Margaret has been widowed and remarried in the 1911 N.B. census.
