Each individual buried in Missoula County has a "Bio Sheet" listing the following items: Name, Sex, Age at death, Birth date, Birth place, Residence, Occupation, Military record, Father's name, Mother's name, Spouse's name, Marriage date, Marriage place, Date of death, Place of death, Cause of death, Burial date, Town of burial, Cemetery with location, Name of mortuary, Death certificate number (if there is one), Newspaper citations, Fraternal organizations, On stone with ... , Other Information. The cemetery cataloging project is not complete, but does use multiple sources for verification. Each year the index is supplemented with new information which is not for sale at this time.
Newspaper Indexes
All newspapers indexed will have a combination of the following event codes listed: Adoptions, Birth notices, Special birthdays, Death notices, Divorce notices, Generation photographs (in later papers), Institutionalized persons, Marriage notices (and related events), Missing in action (during war years), Persons reported missing, Naturalization notices (Declaration and/or final papers), Legal name change, and Prisoner of war (during war years).
