    IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN I LEWIS TOMSON of the Parish of St John the Baptist in the Isle of Thanet and County of Kent ............ being sick and weak in my body but of sound and perfect memory I praise my God Therefore I do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following
    FIRST I give and bequeath my soul into the hands of God Almighty the father and sone and holy ghost three as one and trust and ......... my God .... my salvator redeemer and sanctifier ....... to be saved by that most precious oblation ....... by Christ joyful ....................... of all true believers And I commit my body to the earth from whence it came in sure and certain hope of my resurrection at the last day and it to be buried in the Churchyard of the parish of St Peter in the Isle aforesaid near to the grave where my ............ and children that are already buried be
    ITEM I will that after my debts being paid and funeral expenses ........... by my Executor hereinafter named my will and meaning is that the residue of all my goods to be sold to them that will give most for them and the money .................. to be equally divided to my six children to be paid to them by my executor hereinafter named at the end of three months next after my death Viz. to Thomas Tomson John Tomson Joane Church wife of Edward Church Margaret ............. wife of William .......... Ursula (?) ............. wife of Thomas ............ and Mildred Tomson to each of them in like portions ............... to my daughter Mildred to whom I give and bequeath jointly upon ........... made of the money .................. after her brothers and sisters portions before named Six shillings and Eight pence of lawful money of England to be paid to her by mine Executor ................ the same on the ................ such portion

    IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN the first day of June Ano Dom 1613 I JOHN SMITH the elder of Upton (?) in the parish of St Peter the Apostle in the Isle of Thanet in the County of Kent Husbandman not ..... in body but of good and perfect remembrance thanks be to God do make and ordain this my present Testament containing this my last Will in manner and format following
    Item I bequeath my soule into the hands of Almighty God my Maker Redeemer and Saviour And my body to be buried in the Churchyard of the parish aforesaid
    Item I will and bequeath to the .............. of the said Parish of St Peter aforesaid seven shillings and four pence to be paid to the churchwardens of the said parish within six months next after my decease by my executors hereinafter named and appointed
    Item I give and bequeath to the poor people of the same the sum of fifteen shillings to be distributed among such said people in most need at the discretion of my said executors within three months next after my decease
    Item I will unto Joanne my wife all such household stuffs as she brought unto me at our marriage And also all my Corn now growing upon the lands belonging to the tenement within I now dwell And all my Cattle ........................ for ever
    Item I will unto Joanne my wife the rest of all such household stuffs ...................................... goods before the time of our marriage for and during the term of her natural life
