LINN E. LANDOLT

     Linn E. Landolt, formerly of Bonne Terre and now deceased*, served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a private first class.  He was in the service for two years and one month serving with the Medical Detachment 1523rd Engineering Construction Group. 

     Landont served in Rhineland, Central Europe and Fitzsimmons General Hospital in Denver, Colo.  He received European, African and Middle Eastern Theatre ribbons as well as two bronze stars.  Landolt also received the Asiatic and Pacific Theatre ribbon and was involved in the Philippine Liberation.  He was awarded a WWII victory medal, a good conduct medal and two overseas bars. 

     This information was provided by his wife, Wilma Landolt.

Additional Information:   According to listing for St. Francois Memorial Park Cemetery near Desloge, Missouri,  Linn Landolt was born on Dec. 25, 1911, and died Nov. 29, 1994.  He was husband of Wilma (Grayson) and son of John Edward and Jesse (Pinkston) Landolt.
