Walter Wood Doughty was son of Milton Cayce Doughty and Sarah Jane (Wood) Doughty. Minnie Melinda (Burch) Doughty was daughter of Commodore Perry Burch and Emma Carolyn Mund.

DOUGHTY, Sarah (nee Wood) - Wife of Milton Cayce Doughty; daughter of John Wood and Fidelia [Fidillia] (Nichols) Wood. Sarah was born 2 Jan. 1853 in Meigs Co. Ohio and died July 16, 1932. She married Milton Cayce Doughty 7 Mar. 1877 in St. Francois County. According to family source, Sarah & Milton Doughty had the following children: Walter Wood, b. 1888; Job B; Mary Isabelle; Stella Prudence b. 14 Sept. 1884; and Julie E., married C. H. Menge. Sarah's father, John Wood, was son of Joshua Wood, married first to Sarah Marsh, and then to Sarah Jones (first wife of Daniel Williams).

DOUGHTY, Stella - Daughter of Milton C. & Sarah J. Doughty

UNKNOWN GYPSY CHILD - There is supposedly one unknown burial in this cemetery. Many years ago, a band of gypsies was traveling through the area and camped on their farm. During the night one of their children died, and they were given permission to bury it in a corner of their family graveyard. Name of child or date of death is unknown.
