Luvenia Tharp (September 17, 1855-September 29, 1909) married James Leonard Owens
(January 14, 1850-April 28, 1935) on December 10, 1871 in Davis County, Iowa.
James was the son of Thomas Owens and Nancy W. McReynolds
and was born in Woodbury County, Illinois.
James and Luvenia were parents of 8 children - Thomas Milton; Cora Evalena; Rosaline;
Bessie; Orpha; Ada; Jamie and Henry Clyde, two sons who died in infancy.
