I am trying to find the birthdate for Paul Wayne THOMPSON who was born in the 1920s south of LuLu and north of Hollywood. Paul Wayne grew up there and in Senath. He was drafted into the Army during wwii but I cannot get his records without the exact birthdate. His mother, father and several siblings are buried at LuLu Cemetery. ANDERSON, BROWN, BROWNS, BULLINGTON, DOYLE, GEORGE, HUMPHREY, MOUNDS, SMITH posted by Theryn Garcia on Saturday, May 24, 1997

I am looking for information on the BROWNS of Caruthersville and surrounding areas of Pemiscot CO. My mother was born there and lived there as do many of my relatives on her side of the family. My great grandfather, Clark BROWN, was born in either February of 1861 or 1855 in TN. My G-Grandfather was married twice first to an ? ANDERSON from which there was one child named Huston BROWN. The second marriage was to my G-Grandmother, Minnie Calloway BROWN, and they had 9 children. 1≫Virginia Lenora (Virgie Lee) BROWN born on 20 Sept 1884 in Kinsfolk Ridge, MO died 4 June, 1970 in St. Louis but was buried in Caruthersville. She married a George DOYLE. 2≫Claude BROWN was born Mar 1887 adn died March 25, 1950. 3≫Ephrim BROWN (my grandfather) was born 23 December 1888. In Pemiscot, CO. He married twice. First to Allie Dunavant. They had two children. and then to Pearl Pulley (my grandmother) and they had 4 children: Eaph BROWN, James BROWN, Lloyd BROWN, and Carrie Rowena BROWN (my mother) who married a Springston. 4≫Willie Mae BROWN born 11 February 1894. She married a BULLINGTON. 5≫Neva BROWN born June 16, 1896. Married a HUMPHREY. 6>GEORGE Anderson BROWN born 3 March 1899 died Feb. 10, 1976. He married Essie Neomi SMITH. 7≫Eula Pearl BROWN born 5 Nov 1904. 8≫James(Jim) BROWN born on 10 March 1905 and died March 26, 1927. 9≫Fines BROWN born July 4, 1892 and died very young as he was not on the 1900 census. Now you probably think that I have a lot of information but really I don't. I know that my G-Grandfather Clark was married to an Anderson and that they owned the "MOUNDS" land in Caruthersville. My situation is this. I have seen pictures of my Grandfather and I agree with the general consensus made by my Mom that he was Native American but I would really like help in verifying this. Now my Uncle James Brown still lives in Caruthersville but he will not help us in this endeavor for whatever reasons. SO, if anyone knows anything about my family and/or the people that they married, about the "MOUNDS", or about the Native American Heritage of my family, I would sincerely appreciate the help.
