answer
The
3 sections of the website are divided into genealogy, research and
history.
Genealogy
– typically this would be the specific genealogy of the line listed
here on the site….so the mtdna for you.
I
am including a mini-genealogy form below for you to complete which
should help you to document your maternal ancestry.
Alternatively, you can upload a gedcom to either your personal
results page at Family Tree DNA or mitosearch and let us know that you
have done so.
Please provide a brief writeup (2 paragraphs to one page
in length) on your line!
Richard
White (ca. 1600, possibly married “Anna” ca. 1670) had a son Edward
Sr. (ca. 1624) who had the following children: Richardus (1647), Anna
(1650), Francisca (1652/53) and Edward. Edward White (b. 1654) married Francis Smith in 1671 in
Leicester, England. Had a
son Conyers White (chr. 1672) who married Mary Tilly in the same area.
Had a son John White I (chr. 4 Feb. 1700, d. 1787/88) in St.
Martin’s Parish in Leicester. Other
siblings of this union were Conyers, Theodosia, and Hannah.
John I married Ann Wisdom (I have data on the marriages, etc. of
the children if you need this). They
had the following children: John II, Conyers, Mary, Theodosia, Frances,
Ann, Joseph, Thomas, Elizabeth and Sarah.
The first record found of John White I is in Orange County, VA,
28 Sept. 1738.
John
White II married Sarah Gum and they had the following children:
Elizabeth, Jeremiah, William, James, John, Millie, Frankey, Felicia,
Peggy, Anne and Polly (I have a partial list of spouses if you need this
also). James (d. April,
1823) married Susanna and they had the following children: Crenshaw,
Willis, Anderson, Susannah, Nancy, Grayham, Early, Polly and Kitty
(partial data can be provided on some of these). Anderson (b. 4 July
1794, d. 14 Sept. 1880) married Lucinda Huckstep (b. 11 Aug 1802, d. 6
Aug 1883) on 15 Dec. 1818. They
lived in what is now Albemarle Co., VA on what is now known as Fox Ridge
Farm.
They
had the following children: Susan
Frances, Agnes Amanda, John Willis, Elizabeth Columbus, Mary Cornelia,
James Cornelius, William Anderson, Edwin, Valentine Newton, Lucinda
Catherine, Benjamine Franklin and Henry Edgar.
John Willis was my husband’s g-g-grandfather.
He married Mary Anne Thompson, but he died 15 July 1845.
His son, John William Anderson White was raised by Anderson, his
grandfather.
