..

Mr. Middleton matches the Lumbee Lowery surname.

Our Grandfather called himself Edmund Lee Middleton and gave his birthday as April of 1865.  He obviously changed his name to Middleton and we believe his surname had been Lowery - based on Y-DNA matching.

We are aware that our grandfather was said to have siblings (or perhaps they were "step" siblings).  A girl named Deborah and two brothers called Abe and Babe.  We think one of the brothers may have lived in the Ft. Pierce, FL area for several years and we believe he may have been a "jeweler" running a jewelry business.  Otherwise, we have no information on his siblings.

We understand our grandfather's mother (Ms. Lowery) lived somewhere in the vicinity of Fayetteville, NC during the early 1900s and that she visited my grandparents in Georgia around 1915 - traveling there by train from Fayetteville.  She was said to have passed away after here return to NC after the circa 1915 visit.

My grandfather died in 1934 and is buried in GA near the city of Dawson.  My grandmother died in 1965 and is buried in Plains, GA.  None of the surviving family is known to have ever had contact with his parents although it is understood the children of my grandparents (my father and his siblings) met this "Ms. Lowery" just once around 1915 during her visit to GA.  All are now deceased.  None, prior to their death, despite numerous requests were able to give their children any information on G Grandmother Lowery or the family in NC.

We have a photo of my grandparents and the children which was taken circa 1915 - 1917.  We also have a photo of a lady we believe to be this Ms. Lowery from Fayetteville, NC.  We will be happy to share these photos with the unidentified person matching our y-DNA.   I have scanned these photos and will be happy to send them to our Y-DNA match.

It is my hope and prayer with this request that the above information may spark his curiosity as I'm sure it may be of at least some interest to him and his family.
