When Mary Amelia and her second husband, Stephen Starrett moved to San Francisco in 1888, BK Davis's son, Bert Davis ... was just entering his teens. He went on to open his creamery [Cloverdale Creamery] in SF where many members of the family worked. My Dad's father was a delivery driver, and my Dad recalls visiting the creamery as a boy, where he met other members of the family without knowing back then how they were related. It wasn't until I started researching our family history some 80 years later that I was able to put the pieces together and tell my Dad how the folks that he had met at the creamery as a boy, were related.
Listed in 1880 census as Briskinkade Davis.
