Kelly Edward DeBusk was born 04 Sep 1899 in Hazel Green, Wolfe County, Kentucky and died 10 Jan 1995 in McAlester, Pittsburg County, Oklahoma. He married Gladys Baillio Bounds 25 Jul 1925 in Cleburne, Johnson County, Texas. She was born 09 Mar 1899 in Cleburne, Johnson County, Texas and died 31 Aug 1962 in Midwest City, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma.  Kelly is buried at Memorial Garden Cemetery in Cleburne, Johnson County, Texas. He married Marcie Jones Blye in 26 Mar 1965.

Kelly Edward DeBusk, 95, died Wednesday in McAlester. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m., Friday at Chaney's Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Bill Mitchell and Les Feldick officiating. Private family graveside services will be Saturday at Memorial Garden Cemetery in Cleburne, Texas under the direction of Chaney's Funeral Home of McAlester. Born Sept. 4 1899 in Hazel Green, KY, he was the son of James Richmond DeBusk. The family moved to Oklahoma Territory in 1900 settling in Retrop, near Sentinel where he graduated from Sentinel High School in 1916 and Phillips University at Enid in 1920. He taught and coached at several schools including Clinton. In 1925 he married Gladys Baillio Bounds of Cleburne, Texas and returned to Oklahoma in 1930 to teach at Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton. In 1935 he became Boy Scout Executive for the McAlester area and in 1940 assumed the same responsibilities for the Great Salt Plains Council at Enid. In 1942 he served as Director of the United War Chest for Oklahoma and Texas and in 1946 was hired as the Director of the Southwest Conference of Christian and Jews. He had been an elder in the Presbyterian Church, a 32 degree Mason and had served in various capacities with several Lion's Clubs. In 1948, Governor Roy Turner appointed him Director of the Oklahoma Game and Fish Commission. From 1952 until retiring in 1976, he served as manager of chambers of Commerce in Fairview, Blackwell, Midwest City and Wilburton. From 1956 to 1960, he was director of the State's Department of Planning and Resources appointed by Governor Raymond Gary. In 1964, he married Marcie Jones Blye and since 1963 had been a resident of Wilburton and more recently at Mitchell Manor in McAlester. He served in the U.S. Army in WWI and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Wilburton. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Monte and Helen DeBusk of McAlester and numerous grandchildren, neices and nephews. He was preceded in Death by his wives and sons, Jim and Bill DeBusk. Honorary pallbearers will be Forrest Hamilton, Jess Bailey, Jack Bohreer, Bill Allen, Tom Williams, Jim Wright and George Smith.

He married Marjorie Hoover daughter of Floyd V. and Luella Hoover. She was born 05 Jan 1928 and died 22 Nov 2009 in Harris County, Texas.

MARJORIE HOOVER DEBUSK loving wife, mother and grandmother, 81, of Houston, TX. passed away Sunday, November 22, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty years James Edward DeBusk. She is survived by one daughter,Janice Maharrey and husband Edward "Bo"; one son, David DeBusk and wife Vicki and four grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date with burial at Houston National Cemetery. The family request memorial contributions are made to The American Cancer Society , P.O. Box 570127 Houston, TX. 77257-0127.
