Jones Cemetery Transcriptions, Brunswick, Maine

Jones Cemetery
Brunswick, Maine

(Also known as Quaker, Friends, and Lisbon Falls Road Cemetery)

There are a total of 76 headstones. The earliest stone is Mrs. Sarah Thaker, May 5, 1828. The last headstone is George P. Jackson, Jan. 5, 1980.

Jones Cemetery, surrounded by woods on all sides, is pleasant and peaceful. The front part of the fence is chain link. The fence on the sides is a wood post & fancy wire fence. Some posts are rotted and some wire is bent. The land at the back of the graveyard ends in a steep drop off , as do many of the older cemetery yards. The oldest grave is near the back on the right. There are probably sunken or missing headstones as there are many sunken places with no markers. Although the cemetery does not seem to be in active use at this time, 2002, it is kept well mowed.
