Sherman, Aroostook Co., Maine bounds on Crystal, 3R4 WELS, Silver Ridge, Benedicta, Stacyville. Sherman's previous designations are: 3R5 WELS, Golden Ridge and was settled in 1832. SHerman was incorporated in 28 Jan 1862 as the 412th town in Maine. Part of Silver Ridge was annexed on 4 Feb. 1870. Part of Crystal annexed on 17 Feb 1881. Principal settlements Sherman and Sherman Mills.
